My stash is running low....

So, I was going through my humidor, looking to package up some Bombs to send to fellow Brothers and sisters of the Leaf, and after I got all three packages done, I looked in my humi... "Hmmm.. Its looking rather low" I thought to myself... So I decide to count them. Mind you, at one point, my 150 ct humidor was overflowing and I had made an oak box into a makeshift humidor to put my over flow sticks in.. I probably had well over 300 sticks at one point. I counted my smokes today.. 27 cigars... Thats it.. 27... WEAK! Im trying to decide if I want to buy one box of really good smokes, or if I want to buy two or three bundles.. Im thinking bundles.. Only because Im a cheap bastard. Man I wish I had the money for all the smokes I could handle, but thats not the case, and won't be for a long while.. so until then, I deal with it. 3 more days until I get paid.. then its awwn like donkey kong. If I can get 4 bundles out of it.. with no more than $100 spent, I will be exstatic.. but I don't think thats gonna happen.. Such is life.

Spring is here!

Im sitting on my deck, just finished a CAO Gold Cigar, sitting on the patio furniture, enjoying the sun, 70 degrees, and typing up on my blogger. I just LOVE this weather! Its SOOO perfect! Ive had some great cigars today, and I think I will sit out here for the day and just enjoy the weather. Some cigars Ive had today are a Flor De Oliva Natural, a Tatuaje Pantela, and a CAO Gold. I am working on cleansing my palate now, so I can get ready for the Opus X "Power Ranger". I was going to save this one for a special occasion, but I figure this weather is as good an excuse as any! I can always buy more! While I am here, I want to take this time to plug a couple of things... One, the Dog Watch Social club podcast. Its a talk show about cigars and only cigars and can be found at www.dogwatchsocialclub.com . The next thing I want to plug is my home cigar website, which recently sufffered a crash, but is back up and running, www.stogiechat.com. Eric Turner, who also happens to own www.tbs-cigars.com ( A great place to purchase cigars, with great prices), runs that forum, and its like home to me. I hope you all are having a great spring day like I am, and until next time,

Camacho Corojo

The weather here is just awesome as of late.. Id guess it hit at least 80 down in San Bernardino today while I was at work, and tonight is the first night Ive been able to sit on my deck here in the mountains in a T shirt and pants without being frozen! Enjoying a Camacho Corojo Cigar, and a miller lite with my laptop here... Now if I could just get Stacey to quit saying "you stink, go back outside and finisht that cigar so you can come in and shower!" LOL.. Women! How's the weather in your part o town?

Now, onto the Camacho that Im smoking.. This thing is awesome. I pulled it out of my humidor, and it was feeling spongy, so Im thinking since it was right next to my humidifier, its probably gonna be wet, but I'll smoke it anyway.. Turns out, thats just how its rolled, and its been a great smoke with lots of spice, and a hint of cuban flavor, out of a NC cigar. Thats pretty dang good. Smoke is creamy and billowy, and its burning straight as an arrow. Im now on the hunt for a box of these suckers too! Great cigar!

La Gloria Cubana Serie R #5

What a great smoke.. pre light draw was awesome. I toasted the foot, then proceded to light it up.. TONS of billowing flavorful smoke arose from it. I got lots of leather, slight sweetness, and bold tobacco flavors. The flavors were complex. The spiciness reminded me of a CAO Brazilia. The wrapper was oily smooth, and burned evenly. This is an AWESOME smoke. I plan on buying a box of these asap. Great smoke, thanks Djohnson for this smoke!

Wedding...

Well, I am heading out to Utah come tommorow for a wedding. My wife's cousin is getting married. A quick turn around trip with little to no "fun" time. It'll be the first wedding Ive been to since my own.. Im just hoping they have an open bar! :D No cigars this weekend, but I'll smoke at least one tommorow to make up for it. ;) Should be good.. then the weekend after that, its on to Las Vegas and CASA FUENTE! WOOOHOOO!!

Carlos Torano Virtuoso

Country: Honduras
Length/Ring: 4 3/4 x 52
Shape: Robusto
Wrapper: Dark Natural
Strength: Full

I was gifted this smoke by a fellow BOTL, Bobgun on Stogiechat, with a note saying to smoke it "now".. So I did just that.. This was nothing short of excellent. Ive liked every Torano Ive had, and this was no exception. Great peppery flavors, tons of thick smoke, and mixtures of a woodsy leather and slight mint flavor on the aftertaste.. All in all a great cigar... Another one I need a box of! Thanks Bro!

Angel 100 by Oliva Cigar Family

Does Oliva make a bad cigar? I got this one in the HUGE bomb from Cigar Penguin, and I smoked it today at work, got interupted during it a couple times, but it never went out, and it was always a very good smoke.
Origin: Nicaragua
Length: 6.00
Ring: 45
Strength: Medium-Full
Wrapper Color: Medium Brown (E)
Wrapper Type: ECU
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: NIC/PERU
Shape: Square Pressed

This thing had sweet and leathery flavors with lots of kick and plenty of smoke. The wrapper was very nice and sweet with a slight twang to it, and it burned even and the ash was nice and thick.. Now if only I could find them in more than boxes of 5 at JR's...

Work and cigars...

I have to say, at times I really hate my job, but most of the time I just love it. I love the people that rent cars from us, and I love the way my job works. ALOT of the time, I can have up to an hour of time without any interuptions to enjoy a good cigar. I usually get to work about an hour early just so I can enjoy a cigar in warmer weather than here at my home. I live at 6000 foot elevation and work at almost sea level. There is about a 30 degree difference between the two places, so smoking a cigar at work before we open is a very rewarding experience. Today was my second Ashton Virgin Sun Grown. What an outstanding cigar. I only wish these things were not over $200 per box. I also smoked a very nice Famous smokes private selection nicaraguan corojo which is an outstanding smoke for the price, at $70/box of 20. Thirdly was an El Rey Del Mundo that was gifted to me by cigar penguin of www.stogiechat.com What an awesome cigar that was as well. I really enjoy everything that cigar smoking embodies. My wife thinks I smell when I come home, but I really don't care much, as I enjoy it. She doesn't give me too hard of a time about it though. Life is good, and everything is great. Be back again tommorow perhaps.

Another new month...

Its now the Second of april, and things are going great.. I helped a co-worker of my mom's move some furniture for 13 hours yesterday.. 450 miles worth of driving and no cigar smoking. Probably won't have one today either, unless my wife decides to go to Disneyland and I stay home. Its another great month ahead, with lots of traveling in the future weekends. Next weekend is a wedding of my wife's cousin, in Utah. Weekend after that would be a trip to las vegas and Im sure I will visit Casa Fuente for a couple fine cigars. I work the weekend after that, but the weekend after I work, I am heading to Sacramento to pick up a jeep for a friend. Should be a great busy month! Life is good, married life rules, and Im back.
